Please join us in welcoming Heather Morefield as the newest member of the SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals Board of Directors. Her initial two-year terms began on January 1, 2026.

Heather Morefield serves as the Executive Director of Real Estate at UNC Health, where she leads strategic planning and execution for real estate operations, portfolio management, and property development initiatives. Over her 18-year tenure with UNC Health, Heather has held roles in strategic planning, finance, operations, and business development, bringing a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems and organizational growth.

Heather earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Healthcare Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is passionate about creating innovative real estate solutions that align with UNC Health’s mission and long-term goals.

Heather lives in Chapel Hill with her husband, three children, two dogs, and a cat, and enjoys being an active part of her community.
