Spring Council was the co-owner/operator of Mama Dip’s Kitchen, Inc., the celebrated Chapel Hill, NC restaurant established in 1976 by her mother, Mildred Council. In addition to her business acumen and exemplary culinary talents, Spring believes strongly in making a difference in the community, including contributions to the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Black Business Alliance and Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau Board. IN 2009, she co-created the “Share the Love Fund” through the Triangle Community Foundation, which assists disadvantaged youth. Spring is dedicated to helping businesses and local residents through her work with numerous civic and nonprofit agencies.
