Jacci Harden Jacobs, DHA, MHA, MBA, BSN, RN, NE-BC, began her career with UNC Hospitals in 1998 as a clinical nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care unit. She has taken on successive roles in leadership at UNC Hospitals including as Nurse Manager on the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Director of Inpatient Heart and Vascular Services and one of UNC’s Associate Chief Nursing Officers.

In May 2024, Jacci, became Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for UNC Hospitals. As CNO, Jacci is responsible for nursing practice, research, education, and operations spanning UNC Hospitals’ Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, and Youth Behavioral Health campuses in addition to UNC’s outpatient locations all around the Triangle.

Jacci is married to her husband, Greg, who recently celebrated his 40th anniversary serving in the U.S. Army. They have been married for 10 years and have four children, two grandchildren, and a rescued black lab mix, Buckeye.
