A Danville, Virginia native, chef Brian honed his craft in fine dining kitchens from Michel Richard’s Citronelle in D.C. to six years as sous chef at Durham’s acclaimed Nana’s under Scott Howell. Looking to balance kitchen life with family, Brian teamed up with Rise founder Tom Ferguson from day one—helping select the original Southpoint site, developing the core recipes, and building the brand into a regional favorite. Today, he is a partner in Rise Franchising, dedicated to turning out the best dang biscuit around.
